Munnar
Munnar - breathtakingly beautiful - a haven of peace and tranquility - the idyllic tourist destination in God's own country. The beautiful hill station was the summer Resort of British in South India and still retains an aura of old world elegance. The lush landscape is dotted with lakes, Reservoirs, Forests and several Tea Estates. The Pepper Rubber and Cardamom Plantations lend a district aroma to the cool and healthy climate of the hill Resort.
Pothamedu
Located 6 km from Munnar. Pothamedu in Munnar is a small village dotted with plantations of tea, coffee and cardamom. From Pothamedu most of the nearby places can be viewed because it is very high and if the weather is lucid one can see the even places which are 40-50 km away clearly.
Devikulam
Located (7 km from Munnar) Devikulam, The Lake or Pond Of Devi, is small and beautiful hill station inviting nature lovers to enjoy the intense rendezvous with nature. Opportunity to enjoy Eco activities like angling, nature walk, trekking and waterfalls viewing are some of the Eco activities acting as feast for nature lovers. Attukal
Attukal in Munnar is a very beautiful place to visit. It has exciting sceneries of nature. It provides amazing views of green hills, pleasant atmosphere and very sweet mountain air. If you visit this place you wouldn't want to Leave it. The greeny of this area is splendid and picturesque.
Nyayamakad
Located between Munnar and Rajamala, 10km away from Munnar. The captivating surroundings make an outstanding picnic spot and trekking point. Nyayamakad is a land of scintillating waterfalls with water cascading down from a height of around 1,600 metres.
Chithirapuram
A brief drive of 10 kilometers (6 miles) from Munnar, Chithirapuram is a sleepy countryside laced with tea gardens, imparting an old-world charm. A stroll in this small town takes you past old playgrounds, courts, tired little cottages, spice nurseries, and sprawling mansions from the British era, along a narrow winding road. Chithirapuram is also home of the Pallivasal Hydel Power Project, besides being famous for its beautifully manicured tea plantations
Mattupetty
The beautiful hill station of Mattupetty is a 13 km drive away from Munnar. The Mattupetty Lake and Dam is enrooted to Top Station and is situated at an altitude of 1700 m. Boating is a popular activity here. You will love trekking in the Shola forests around Mattupetty which is also home to a variety of birds. Walk along small streams and follow its meandering path till it falls down the hillside as a waterfall. The hill-side is dotted with pretty waterfalls that add to the attraction of the place.
Lock Heart Gap
Lock Heart Gap is best known for its panoramic views, beauty of its Western range of hills and its salubrious winds, is a location in Mattupatty, 13 km on the way to Munnar – Madurai National Highway. The fresh mountain air, in-the-midst-of-clouds experience make it worthy of a visit. The valley below could not be seen as waves of wispy clouds have conquered the valley below and was hitting upon the mountain one after the another
Echo Point
Echo point is situated at 15km from Munnar and is an admirable adventure destination for the tourists. Some of the popular activities in this picturesque destination among the explicit views of the lush green hills are trekking and nature walks. The silence is simply disturbed by the visitors at echo point for few seconds and once again everything is normal.
Kundala Lake
Kundala Lake (20Km from munnar) is a picture perfect town on the way to top station from Munnar. Kundala Dam is relatively a small dam having curved shape. A narrow road on the top of the dam offers a panoramic view of the catchment area of the Kundala Dam. Rajamala
This place is 2695 m above sea level. The major attraction here is the Rajamala Wildlife Sanctuary. It is the home for the Nilgiri Tahr (Hemitragas hylocres), the Eravikulam - Rajamala region is now home to half the world population of this animal. Rajamala is rich in natural beauty which makes it a choice tourist destination
